Woods, a lifelong Liverpool fan, watched the FA Cup Third Round draw at home on Monday, December 2, where someone captured his reaction in a video. The moment Accrington was drawn to play Liverpool, Woods jumped for joy, running around his living room and shouting in excitement. This match marks the first time in history that Accrington will face Liverpool in an official game.  

Woods shared the video on his Twitter, writing, “Dream come true. Wow!” Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konaté replied, “Let’s go!” to which Woods responded, “See you soon, big man!”

Key Changes in the Third Round  

The Third Round fixtures will be held from Friday, January 10, to Monday, January 13. Notably, this is the first season where there will be no replays throughout the competition, including the final. Matches tied after 90 minutes will proceed to 30 minutes of extra time, followed by a penalty shootout if necessary.
